Why We’re Fundraising
For food & medicine
The World Food Programme estimates 3.4 million Chad residents are projected to face acute hunger, with 1.7 million children aged 6 to 69 months projected to be malnourished this year alone. Food insecurity and access to over-the-counter medicine is a need we work to fulfill.
Long-Term Goal: Free Healthcare Clinic
Chad has a very low number of healthcare professionals. The World Health Organization reported that there are 3.7 doctors per 100,000 people. Health in the North-Central African country is suffering, with limited access to medical staff, medicine, and equipment. Our eventual goal is to create a sustainable, fully functional health clinic to serve both children and adults alike.
